Culinary use
The sour cas fruit is eaten raw and cooked. It is often made into a refreshing drink or eaten fresh with a little salt. The fruit also be cooked into pies or used to make jellies and sauces.
Medicinal use
Effective against diarrhea, dysentery, gastroenteritis, hypertension, diabetes, caries, pain relief, cough, oral ulcers and to improve locomotors coordination and liver damage inflammation.
