Culinary use
It can be eaten fresh or made into jellies, drinks, ice cream, jams and juices. It can also be used in curries and stews. The guava leaves are used to make tea.
Medicinal use
Depending on its ripeness, this fruit can be used to treat both diarrhea and constipation. When it is green it is rich in astringent compounds that help control diarrhea; when it is ripe it provides a large amount of insoluble fiber, which acts as a mild laxative. It’s also effective in helping hypertension, pain relief, cough, diabetes, etc.
